And if you read the description/comments on the first one I posted: this is the 'detail shot' that Jason were trying to capture.

I think I like this one the best, David - it is much more a "Chromasia" shot than the other ones. Whatever you did to it in post processing, it worked ;)

I did a similar but vertical version of a fence post in Palm Springs:
Even though it is as simple as a piece of wood, I like this. Simple picture with subtle post-processing to bring out the details in the wood grain. I like how you added some warmth to the image as well.

I see you used the Topaz Detail plugin for processing, I used the Luminosity Mask technique for mine:
