There are times when the idea of having a photoblog where I don't actually say anything about any of the images I post seems quite appealing. It's not that I don't like talking about most of them, but every once in a while I realise that I really don't have anything much to say. This is a good example; it's just a feather; stuck in the sand.

Looking at the original, perhaps you should call it unsepia :-)
Anyway, I like it.

For the first time in many years I follow chromasia, I can say that I prefer the original over the post-produced! The feather "pops" anyway and I prefer the sepia tones of the original shot.
Have to agree with Matteo on this one. Sometimes a photograph is good enough just on its own without any tweeking. Surely thats a result!

Ahhh... but if you were to tug ever so slightly on this feather you would have found that it was attached to a giant creature - half eagle, half lion - and you would have awakened it, and, you would have found yourself running for your life, only to be snared in it's huge talons and carried off to heights unknown... and then dropped off in New Jersey.
Or, it's a feather; stuck in the sand :)

I prefer the post-produced image... love the dark magenta tone added to the mid and shadow tones and the slight ramp-up in detail

Least-changed image from original of any that I've ever seen on your blog! Nice and subdued, I like it. Perfectly fine if you don't have extensive comments to make every day, it's impressive enough just to post a great shot every time. I tried and couldn't keep up...
The change was so subtle that I thought the "show the original" was not working at first! Another one I missed that day that I wish I had seen. Very nice :)
This post reflects how Ive felt for the last twelve months, in as much as not only do I have nothing to say, I have no photographs to show, so at least you have that. And the image holds it's own, it's a very calm scene. Something I find useful today especially.
