We've spent the last week on the Black Sea coast, staying in an apartment in Elenite. It was a great week, but after a week of swimming, making sure that the younger kids didn't fall in the pool, and everything else that goes on during a family holiday, Libby and I are now seriously in need of a rest :)
As for this shot: it's Camilla (left), Harmony (right) and Rhowan (almost visible in the middle) playing in the pool, and is one of five portraits that I'll be posting over the next week or so.

What we have here is the essence of Rule #1 (which is) HAVE FUN !
The B/W processing distills that essence.

I like the shot. I like how the B&W treatment hides the green swim floats. Also the white spray of the water jumps on the B&W especially against the hair of the girl on the left. Nice shot. But I have to admit you must be brave to bring a huge 70-200 f/2.8 lens into a pool or swimming area. I always seem to get looks if I bring a camera into the pool area with my kids. It's to the point that I just don't bring it. I guess the reward is shots like this.

Thanks everyone.
Carlos: it was fun, but rather tiring :)
Kurt: we were lucky insofar as the pool was just outside our apartment, and not too many of the other guests were using it.
