One of the things I thought I'd miss most when we moved from the UK to Bulgaria was the sea. I don't, but I do appreciate it all the more when I have the opportunity to stroll along the shore, even on cold grey days like this one.

In other news ...

I've had a great time it UK – one wedding and four one-to-one training sessions – but I'll be heading back to Bulgaria early tomorrow morning in the company of my good friend Craig. He's coming over for a week, then heading back to the UK with Libby, and we're going to be heading out to a variety of locations to shoot. Hopefully we'll both get some great shots.

Comparing before/after post-processing the photo, I like how you illuminated this area of the image where the people are walking on the shore. Great work!

Very nice composition.

Fantastic toning! Love the change of colours, the change of light and the composition. Reminds me of "in the scale of things" which you blogged from our shoot...

Jacques and djib: thanks.

Jason: yes, this is quite similar, but a bit more contemplative than the one you mentioned.

Jeremy and steve: what dust spot? ;-)

Another lovely tone on that one David, very muted but it suits it well.

My kind of shot Dave, its at peace with itself, I like the leaning step of the little lad, perfectly caught.

Fantastic! I have never been to the shore at Blackpool and I miss it! Who thought gray could be so beautiful? Wonderful David.

a very calm interlude.

This is nice, I really like the choice of toning and its simplicity. You might not miss the beach, but I think many visitors would miss your beach images. I know I would.

Love this high key image. The size of the figures adds a new feel. Really enjoy the use of foreground, middle ground, and background.

You and Mr. Mute teamed up to create a little serendipity in my RSS reader just now. Nice!
