This image was taken during my recent trip to the Jabal Shams canyon in Oman and kind of summarises my hopes for 2011: I want a simple year – where I can earn enough money, find time to take plenty of photographs and create good images, and spend lots of quality time with my wife and family. Simple aims, but not always easy to achieve, so fingers crossed for 2011.
Happy New Year everyone.
Oh, and if you missed my last entry, take a look: I posted my favourite 12 shots from 2010.

I'm with you there my friend, I'd love to fulfil the same dream... anyway lets see how it all pans out. And as for this shot, it certainly sets the mood for a calm start to the New Year Year in its simplicity. Very Nice...and Happy New Year.

Your image has a beautiful, almost paper cut-out simplicity to it. And your wishes for the New Year are universal. Thank you.

Very neat, I had the same thought as Doug, 'paper cut-out simplicity'. A nice way to start off the year. :)

Doug Hickok said what I was thinking -- this feels like a paper cut-out. As for simplicity? Brilliant work (as usual). Best of luck with the new year goals!

I really love the simplicity of this shot Davenport. It is lime a watercolour painting with just three simple washes forming a rather lovely image.
PS sorry for not responding to your kind offer of help, I'll reply tomorrow. Again, apologies, this time of year is always up in the air.

It seems my comment will be a bit countercurrent, but I find this picture poor and boring.
Had I taken it, it's an image I would usually discard at the very first selection of editing. If not posted on Chromasia, I would have never thought it's made by David.

A beautifully simple image, almost not photographic but that's what makes it stand out. Looking forward to more of your images in 2011.

That picture does look like a painting or a SVG background. Lovely catch.
