If you followed our games of Photoshop Tennis (which we're planning on resurrecting some time soon) you may remember this image: taken from Blackpool's North pier last October.
And talking of Blackpool ...
I'm heading back to the UK twice over the next few months, and have set aside some dates when I'll be able to provide some one-to-one training, either from our Blackpool office or possibly elsewhere in the UK, on either photography, post-production, or both. Some of the dates have already been booked, but the following are still available:
Thursday 10th February
Friday 11th February
Saturday 12th February (may already be booked)
Sunday 13th February (may already be booked)
Thursday 24th March
Friday 25th March

Sure loving this "trip" to the shore. Amazing transformation.

Great work pulling out the detail from the clouds while still preserving the foreground. Pardon my ignorance, but I never seen that "red" object before. Is it safe to assume it's a housing for a life preserver? Regardless, it makes a great focal point for this image. The red is a nice contrast. Perhaps you might consider this for a future mini PSD?

Thanks Carlos.
Al: yes, I think this would make a good Mini-PSD so I'll certainly bear it in mind. As for the red object: yes, it's a standard UK cover for a lifebouy, or 'life preserver' for those of you on the other side of the pond :)

Beautiful color and compositional balance. Striking image! What's not to like?
I love your photo editing. Really adds an edge to the beautiful compositions.

Looks really great Dave, I really like how the detail of the floor boards is heightened! The North Pier is my favorite pier, how to get out there myself with my 5D mkII soon! Been applying some of your techniques on my recent work from New York:
