This is a close up of my previous image, and while it's a lot simpler, I do think I prefer it.
What I don't prefer though is its timely relevance. I set off to Dubai very early yesterday morning and flew from Manchester to Heathrow, then from Heathrow to Dubai. Unfortunately my suitcase, normally a steadfast and faithful companion on such trips, clearly had different ideas. It's now nowhere to be seen and has managed to vanish from British Airways tracking system ... which doesn't sound good.
Anyway, faithful companion or no, I couldn't care less about the suitcase, nor my clothes. The loss of both will be inconvenient, but not tragic. But my Gitzo tripod legs were also in the case, and a range of Lee filters, and various charging leads, cleaning kit, a 580EX II, and so on ... all of which I will miss. Fortunately I have my laptop, camera and lenses, and most everything else I need to run my GPP workshops, but I'm hoping that the rest of my kit will put in an appearance too.
My fingers are firmly crossed.

Tayab: I've never watched it, but probably should.
Carlos: I went down to the Souk today and bought a few shirts and other essentials, but will have to go shopping again if it doesn't turn up soon ... and I really, really hate shopping for clothes :(

Love this LOST shot. So apropos unfortunately. Trust is an elusive thing these days.
Your B&W conversion is perfect as well. Also so appropriate, because when it's lost...it is definitely a black and white issue, no gray here (nor happy colors.)

Great, clever shot--this crop really screams "Lost!" in a disorienting way. Hope your luggage finds its way back home.

Like the blueness and luminosity of your treatment of this shot. So sorry about the luggage—it's the fear of all air travelers, esp photographers. I always wonder how serious/pro photogs pack all their equipment, much less have room left over for clothes, what with airline restrictions these days. Here's hoping there's some insurance coverage...

This really looks like the TV series (Tayab, I agree, one of the greatest ever made) and for the coincidence, better loosing your luggage than a broken in two airplane falling on an island in the middle of nowhere (the main theme of the TV series)!
While both are excellent, this one does remind me a bit more of the TV series. I have to say I prefer the first, as I get a bit more context of a vast open road, and even a bit of a carnival scene.

Not only a tribute to your missing suitcase (as you said on Facebook), but also the greatest TV series ever made
Like the close up version. Hopefully you have enough clothing to conduct your workshop.
:)

This is a great piece of Artistic work. I think it would be a master piece of yours. Keep it up.
Prefer this one over the previous take.
Thanks everyone :)
