I was really pleased yesterday to get a noteworthy for my entry for the Photo Friday 'macro' challenge. Thanks to everyone who voted for my shot :-)
As for this one: it was taken about six weeks ago and at the time I didn't really like it, though I can't remember why. I was going through my archives yesterday, and most of the stuff is definitely not worth putting up, but this one seemed ok. Besides which, I decided to take a couple of days off from 'trying' to take some decent shots. For some reason, over the last week or so, it seems the harder I try the crappier my shots get. So I thought I'd take some time to work with some of my older shots. I only found two that I liked though, so I'll be back to putting up new stuff by the end of the week.

I love shots like this and have taken several similar ones myself, somehow the more you look, the more you see. Well done =)

Tom/Jessyel: it's a reflection in a window, rather than a shot through one (or a double-exposure) – the final image is horizontally reversed. As for the contrast: that was intentional. The image, IMO, looks rather flat otherwise.

I like this one David! The reflections do something with it, which makes it all different from ordinary "shots-of-a-street" photos.
Congrats with the noteworthy. You deserved it, but I must say that the ones who have a famous/well-known photoblog do have a advantage at the photofriday "competitions". If someone who has taken a really good photo for the challenge and no-one knows his blog, then no-one will vote.. Not complaining at you though. You deserve the noteworthy. Expressing my opinion in wrong places. Typical. Well, have a nice day!

Kjetil: thanks. And you may well be right about Photo Friday. Personally, I try my best to work through all the entries for a given challenge, or I don't vote at all. I don't know what other people do but I would hope that it wolud be something similar.

Very interesting and busy shot. Was it taken through a window? I really like the overall tone of the photo.
Reflection or double-exposure? Pretty interesting. A bit too much contrast, but nice overall. You gotta love the McDonald's!
