I was hoping to be able to put up something I'd taken with my new 17-40 today, but other than one not quite properly focussed shot of a horse, I didn't manage to come up with anything worth posting so I went out wandering again this evening.
Regular visitors will recognise this building from this shot, but I think I prefer this one.
Oh, and my apologies if you visited earlier today and were plagued with a popup from IMPRO CORPORATION - it seems chromasia was hacked such that all my templates had an extra bit of code added to them. I've now fixed them, rebuilt my site, and changed all my passwords, but I have no idea how my site was accessed so can't guarantee it won't happen again. Let's hope not.

glad you fixed the pop-up problem--now i can put you back on my 'always allow pop-ups' list. now don't you feel lucky...
i do prefer this shot of the building as well. i really like the shadows of neon forms behind the letters, and how the light is bouncing around the edges.

This is such a great site! I am so impressed with what you have done here! Keep it up. I am bookmarking and checking back so very often.
Interesting that this too has a security camera like the previous shot. Big brother is everywhere!

The composition is fantastic! What does K2 stand for?

dave: K2 is a night-club, so I suspect that there's no special significance in this instance.

Why amazes me is the clearnes and sharpnes of a night shot! Is it cos of 1500$ 20d or is it cos of you David? :)
I see a surveilance camera at this one, but can't spot it at the previous K2 pic..where is it?

~nice catch here, interesting mix of color and light~

Mario: although it was night this was a 1/30 second exposure at ISO 100 (i.e. the scene was reasonably bright) so I would expect this to be a relatively clean shot anyway. As for the surveillance camera: the previous shot was of the wall around the right corner from this one.

LunaSol: nah, this is my giant space station shot ;-)
I love looking at the photos on chromasia. Not only because they are fantastic images themselves, but because i recognise the images too!
Keep up the good work,
J.Bonney
What a great shot! It's an inspiration for me to attempt more night shots, as I've often avoided that subject.
