We went to the zoo today, and all I ended up with was some very bad pictures of a chameleon and an out of focus fish, so here's another (colourful, but not all that wonderful) shot from yesterday evening. And in case you were wondering, yes, that is a large model of Thunderbird 3 in the background.

this is a great shot, that's a fast lens to catch something like this hadnheld, good job, the sharpness and detail in the lights on the back of that car are impressive.

Love this one. Eye-popping colors everywhere! And how come I can never shoot 1/80 / ISO200 at night, even with my 50mm 1.8?? :(

Although I like the focus of this shot, the scene seems to be a little too dark to me. It would be beautiful if there would be a little bit more detail at the rear of the carthe in the foreground.

Ali and east3rd: Blackpool Illuminations throw off a lot of light, so this is a bit better lit than a typical night scene.

I have to agree with Dirk, I think I am getting a little lost in the black blacks on the black car...just a bit...this is an eyecatcher though.

What type of lens did you use to catch this? I'm beginning in the 'prosumer' market, so I've yet to learn about clever SLR lenses. But I do recognise the donut type of effect that the out of focus hightlights create. I like the effect, and it's a good job the car was clean!

Dave. It (the popup) was probably an inside job. Boo blogomania :) .. I'd also upgrade MT sometime soon if I were you... That's the problem with using pre-built blog packages. Others know how they work..

Very sparkly! I love how all the lights give chase.

Fab shot, well composed. Maybe not to your tastes but I'd be real proud. That's all.

I really like this shot, the reflection, the shallow DoF and all that colour.

It has been too long since I have visted here and look what has happened, you have a new toy. I have two 20D's on order and can't wait to get hold of them :)
