Our two youngest, bless 'em, decided not to sleep at all well last night, the upshot of which was that I finally got about three hours sleep on the couch. So, not surprisingly, I don't have anything more to say than ... here's today's shot ... zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz

These dark evenings and your lack of sleep are obviously working well together - I find both this and yesterday's quite absorbing. Great use of colour and image trails in both, but if I had to choose a fave then it would be the previous, I find the horizontal trails at the base of today's slightly distracting.

Might want to throw a valign="top" in the the left column of the exif info when you wake up Dave.. Photo looks awesome in the thumbnail version.. Not sure about the large version though.. I guess it's cool. Main thing I like is the firy colours in the window. G'night chief.

I love the contrast between motion and stillness.

fraxinus: thanks, and I think I prefer yesterday's too.

miklos: thanks, I've fixed it.

Etan: thanks.

... and now I'm going to bed. Well, soon ...

Cracking shot. The tonal aspects of this really work well. Hope you get some good sleep!

I feel for you David! Our youngest has been making a habit of waking two to three times a night just about every night for the last month or so now...(yawn)
nice shot...at first I thought you were going to tell us it was captured at 3 in the morning, because you couldn't sleep!

I am too tired to write much...I just wanted to say that you inspire me daily. Thank you for taking the time to share your work with the world.

Our three didn't sleep ( or eat) until they were five. Now they're teenagers it's the exact opposite....

I love the composition of this picture, and the swirls in the window, but the colour of the walls disturbs me. It conveys your sleepless mood, but it's too bright for me!

I prefer today's photograph. It has a dreamy, warm and peaceful tone to it, shaken awake by the bright window. Inspiring as always. The only distracting factor is the streaks below.

I not quite sure why but I have to say that I prefer today's picture. Maybe it's because of the colors - mmhh! I'll think about this...
