This is the last of the decent shots I took at the weekend and is reminiscent of one of the first entries I put in my portfolio. I'm not sure why, but I really like shots that where our children bisect the picture's frame in some way. To me it conveys something of their movement through the world, the speed and spontaneity with which they pass from one thing to another ;-)
So, tomorrow I'll need to come up with something new. I'm hoping that it will be a clear night so I can go out and shoot some star trails, – what I'm after is a clear night, not much of a moon, and an exposure of around 45 minutes. If it's raining or cloudy I'll have to think of something else.

Funky: were it not for the much delayed recognition of the weed being pulled, I'd go away with the idea of running.
The color saturation is perfect, and I really like your daughter's partial presence, as well as the complete absence of footprints.

I remember one of yours photo called foreign which was the bare feet of one of yours babay girl. From now then I just love when you take pictures where I can only see legs or feet of your children. Dont ask me why :)
About 'canīt catch me' what can I say? It is a superb photo and I can see mylself there once upon a time...and, yes, I canīt catch it anymore. Sublime photo! Congratulations!
great boots! i love the contrast of the pink against the bright blue sky.

dave. how do you get your skies so vivid without a polariser? or do you create the sky in 'post'? steve

This is very nice, perhaps a touch too much sand and not enough sky. Star trails tomorrow? I can't wait! One of my most loved subjects.

Frank: she was running, she was just holding on to the grass as she climbed the hill. In some ways this shot is a bit deceptive as it doesn't really show the steepness of the sand-dune.
steve: the sky was reasonably blue anyway, but I used Digital Velvia Pro to boost the saturation.
slurpee: thanks :-)
Daaave: it's not looking good for the star trails. It's 7.30pm here, and I'm just about to go out, and the sky isn't particularly clear. That said, I'll have to get a shot of something while I'm out as I've got nothing else to put up ;-)

I love this photo. The sand dune, however, reminds me of a giant chia pet starting to sprout. :)

Wonderful shot. Such a creative perspective. The boots are definately the star in this photo.
Best of luck with the Weblog Awards. Chromasia is quite deserving.

This is a great child's portrait. The vivid colors are playful. And for me, your composition creates a feeling of exploration and wonder. Really, really nice.

The title's great, and so are the colors. The skin seems a little over-saturated, though.
I like how this one pops. The boots really make it for me. I like the composition
