I helped out a friend today shooting a wedding, and thoroughly enjoyed myself – it was way less stressful than doing it on my own – but this was the only one I found time to take for myself. It's not the best of shots, but it does mark the occasion :-)

It looks like you're wearing a rather natty outfit of white jacket and yellow shirt.. though it's easy to be mistaken!

Looks to me more like a white shirt with a yellow vest.

Yeah, white shirt and yellow waistcoat. Jacket getting too hot was it Dave?

The ole monopod and speedlight combo aye? Things have progressed somewhat since the G5 days ...
comment bydjn1 at 11:45 PM (GMT) on 12 December, 2004
Yep, white shirt, yellow waistcoat (with daisies on it) and a yellow cravat - no jacket ;-)
seriocomic: yes, things have changed a bit. That said, I just got my G5 back from being repaired so I'll probably use it in the near future.

Completely misread this picture at first. Took me at least a minute to realise it was a reflection. Thrown for some reason by the qua;ity control sticker which should have given it away.

Hope the wedding went well.
I see a wedding photographers outfit starting to happen

Another reflection shot - not that I'm compaining, I really like them! Do you walk around all day looking for shiny things like a magpie? :-)
I'd be interested to hear if you think getting the 20D has changed your shooting style/approach at all, now that you're getting old faithful back from repair.

I thought it was a drink shaker originally. Nice pic.

I didn't post right away, cause I was trying to figure out what the shiny reflecting object was.....but I still can't figure it out. It almost looks like a shower head......but I know that's not it. I give up...

haha good call on wearing the yellow vest, adds color to the photo =)

Thanks everyone.
robin: Yes, I do look for shiny things, and yes, getting the 20D has changed my shooting style; mostly in the sense that I can take shots that just weren't possible with the G5 – long exposures, much better control over DoF, and so on. But I guess the major difference is that it's just so much easier to use the 20D.
