I didn't have anything to put up this evening, at least nothing that I was particularly happy with, so I went for a rather haphazard wander around town. And, fortunately, I found this head. I would ask you which film it reminds me of, but it's a bit too easy – especially if you've seen it ;-)

First glance I was reminded of iRobot. The more I look at it the more I enjoy the shades and light reflections in this glassy face. I think this is the meaning of "Chrystal Clear"

i was thinking of iRobot too. the reflective glass with the dark background makes an awesome contrast. may i ask, where did you find this head? also, the fact that the photo was taken off center is also great.

The shape of the eyes reminded me of iRobot right off the bat as well.

Haven't seen "I, Robot" yet so no references there. A human face inside melting or distorted ... glass, plastic or ice!? Perfect composition. Cold and warmth at the same time. Perfectly balanced brightness and contrast. I wish I'd master the histogram that way. The eyes half closed ... almost scary. I have no idea how you did this. Filters? How did you do this?

Yep, it was the Abyss I was thinking of.

crex: my apologies, I put up the wrong EXIF data earlier. This was underexposed by 1 stop (to prevent too many of the highlights blowing out), then I increased the contrast (a lot) with the Curves tool.

Hi David,
I do enjoy my photography but am still yet to really reach a point whereby I am happy with my shots.
I enjoy your site. It took me a while to find your comments section which I always appreciate on sites such as this because it provides insightm a forum and a connection with each and every image.
I am curious, do you sell your work, as in can I request one of your shots?
I hear about you via Mike Golding whose work I also follow.
Cheers

I have to say, terminator 2 is the first film that sprung to mind, but it's all James Cameron so we're good.
Great find though!
