This one was taken almost a couple of weeks ago but I'm putting it up today as I'm too tired to take anything else. The good news, as far as the kitchen goes, is that the plumbing is finished. Well, the cold and hot feeds are in place and none of them leak. Tomorrow involves putting in some electrics and planning the false wall to hide this mess.

Is this sand? If so, it's got amazing sharp edges. No no, it must be stone. Or is it? Whichever, it's cool. I hope that the kitchen goes well...

I looks like one of that photographs taken with electronic microscope..

Very nice textures...and beautful contrast.

justin: sorry, I should have said. It's part of a headstone in our local cemetery.

I've been following your blog for a few months now. Your photography is amazing.

I love this shot. The B&W treatment, and composition are perfect. Was this done in camera, or in post? Either way, very well done.

Thanks for sharing.

I certainly would have never guessed this was a portion of a headstone. Do you ever feel weird or even "wrong" taking pictures in a cemetery? Personally, I've captured a few shots I'd like to post but do to the fact that names, dates, and more are clearly legible has prevented me from publishing them.

Nevertheless, the textures in this shot are very detailed and seemingly appropriate. I have to agree with Justin in the fact that it does look like sand though.

It does look like one of those electoscope pictures. Very very fine details, and it almost looks like you added alot of noise to it, but I guess that is just the texture of it. Very intresting! I like :)

That's a cool picture of sand art. I've got one like that located here:

It's just amazing what some people can do with sand.

Great composition and texture, although it almost seems too sharp, too textural!
