I suspect, but wouldn't want to put any money on it, that this is one of those shots that I like more than you ;-)
Oh, and don't expect a great deal of sense (or decent photographs) out of me in the next couple days as I have a stinking cold and am trying to stop smoking :-/

I do actually like this shot, particularly the composition of the phone box's front and rear framework - and how rare to see someone using a phone box these days, her credit must have run out on the mobile!
Dave, this is one of my faves. Unique texture and palette. It's quite apart from the rest of your work, and one of your best.

This picture has an unique effect. It "feels" different when smaller and much different when it is enlarged to the original scale - with extremely different focus points. Very nice picture, makes you wonder of all the unknowns.
*I wonder who she was talking to... she seems happy though*
Thanks Dave for capturing the moment.
I hope you feel better with the cold. and all my wishes in quiting smoking!

Great shot! I like how you framed the photo greater than the booth's framing.

The telephone box frame on this side of her and on the other side actually make for a very interesting photographic framing :-) Too bad there wasn't a horizontal bar on the other side of her at the very top of the image frame! (too many frames)

Hey good luck with quiting smoking. I've been trying to do it for the last week. Let me tell you the worst day will be the day you quit and the morning after when you wake up. It's an ok shot by the way not to great but I think it looks better than if the focus was on the girl.
I really like this shot. I think it's because the in focus part is darker then the girl's face and it has me switching back and forth, and keeping moving around the image very nicly.
really licke the red color, good saturation and nice blur on glass
Do you impresse me shot by shot

I like it quite a bit. Kinnda coincidental, both you and ddoi (http://wvs.topleftpixel.com/ ) have public phones up today. I think I might join you.

I like it, it has an appealing blurr : ), she looks really happy and the red makes a wonderful crisp framing. Good luck with the smoking! You can totally do it - I stopped last year, best thing I ever did for me. It gets easier and soon you won't even miss it :)

nice focus on the grill.. the girl in the blur looks nice :)
You have an exceptional talent for portrait photography David. I really like this image, and I think it is a great improvement over the last 2 entries - but that's personal preference :) Lovely shot!

Expertly composed, as usual. And so surreal, through the thick glass. I love the way the red construction on the opposite side of the booth just fits straight into the blank area, adding symmetry, while leaving a sense of asymmetry to the picture as a whole.

I think this is a great shot, and what really makes it are the scratches on the glass.

Great shot.
I like this a lot - I really do like the focus.
Hope you feel better soon.
Now this is a candid, excellent focal choice...
Very nice shot.
I like this kind of photography a lot
I like the framing in this picture and the softness caused by the old plastic windows they put in phone boxes, well spotted.
You're not trying to stop, you already have by the sounds of it. Just don't start again. :-) Good luck mate.
I like this a lot.
Never seen anyting like it.
Aesthetically? The 'flat' effect is very intriguing, with the red highlight and scratched graffiti.
Thanks everyone.
Mystery Me: you're right, she was out of credit, but there isn't a signal in Edale anyway.
Little Sister: thanks, and happy birthday :-)
