I like this one, compositionally at least, but I do wish it had been a bit sharper. Mind you, it's entirely my own fault for shooting at 1/125s at the equivalent focal length of 260mm. And again, this is another one from my recent trip to Morecambe with John (from shotsphotography.

I think the DoF is good if you wanted to show that as part of the composition. I've seen those boats here at the port and try to use them as part of a picture but never manage to get something good. Regards.
I really like the boat out of focus. Is measuring in meters/cm? It's as if it's measuring the height of the boat.

There's something about having 2/3 of the image out of focus that's just disorienting. That being said, I like the great contrast between the boat and the foreground object.

This is my first visit to this site. Your photos are impressive. They are well seen, planned and captured. I'll be back
I like the DoF, I found myself staring at the boat for awhile trying to make the details out.

I'm not a fan of this shot, mainly because the colours are terrible and I don't like the dof... I'm thinking "so what?"
I like the idea though... I can see you're experimenting.

I prefered yesterdays shot to this one, the foreground and background were linked better on that one, in this the foregroud doesnt seem to have the same conection.

Good dof, I like the boat in the background.
Great color.

Thanks everyone.
Skauce: what's up with the colours?
SteveO: I agree, the two elements of the shot aren't as well integrated.
