This is the second shot of one of these figures and is probably my favourite of the three that I'm putting up. It's the least striking, but there's something about the composition and balance of the shot that I really like.
And just to remind you: chromasia is currently on autopilot (kind of) – back on Tuesday.

It's interesting to see just how many angles can be taken of this. Once again, a great shot.

Great shot. The statue looks like a shape in the landscape. It would have inspired the painter Magritte.

Wow.
I must say, I didn’t much like yesterday’s picture—it looked almost 'collaged' (the reflections on the iron not matching the sky)—but I really like today’s! Great DOF and composition!

I like the b/w on this. Not sure if it is pure desaturation or a bit of sepia too.

B & W (looks a little bit sepia to me) fits perfect in this one. When I first saw the photo, I was wondering who this migth be?, and then after reading I realized it was yesterday's guy. Is it placed just like that in the middle of the beach?
For a minute then I thought to myself "Whoa - Dave's been taking sneaky photos of naked men on the beach" then my brain clicked into gear ;) Love this photo - prefer it to yesterdays, I think because of the tone and composition. Great work!
Well i donīt like your last 2 pictures, sorry, I canīt help it... but if you wanna know, this one is far beyond the previous one.

I like this one much better than the previous--the previous, though striking, was a little too overwhelming for me. But i love this. would have been great to get more contrast in the sky, but the DoF works really nicely here. The composition is the BEST feature of this shot.
I have to admit, I am a bit reluctant to take photos of sculpture. For me, it seems like somewhat of a rip-off. This, however, is quite effective. I think if you use that other person's work of art to make an even broader (or at least unique) statement, then your use of someone else's artwork is warranted. Your tonal treatment of the frame, and the composition in general make this a unique statement.

amazing, it looks like he's waiting for something to happen. the b&w makes it something like "eternal".

I do not like this pic. I think is way more under your "standard".
I really like the composition of this shot, it really adds something to the composition. There is now a mystery, what is he looking for, who is he waiting for? I loved yesterday's shot for the impact, this one I love cos of the atmosphere & the implied narrative.

This is by far the best of the three for me. I adore it. Wonderful compositon, fantastic light, great depth. Really lovely work Dave.

I really like this one. It's very subtle. What strikes me most is the figure itself and its posture. It looks like a person that's never seen the ocean before...just looking out over the water contemplating life. Nicely done.

Moody, somber, I like it :-)

Yeah, this is definately my favourite of the 3, the first one looked a bit weird and the flash in the third was just a bit too obvious. I love the toning on this one.

Awesome composition! My absolute favorite of yours so far!
Very serene. Nice execution. Tell that guy to put some clothes on ;P.

Excellent composition. But I have to admit that, I liked the previous one more than this one. The Colors seem to make it more interesting.
this is an amazing selection for B/W. like the sole creature standing, with hands just apart, an amazing feeling off the picture.
