Great shot following on from the previous ones you took - good luck with your son showing up. I hope you don't have much longer to wait!

I love this womans' skin. Well done in bringing out her tones. I do miss the sense of action that your previous shot of her had (Company Fierce #2... I think). This shot definetly portrays a more passive/almost sensual side of her, she doesn't seem to have lost any confidence though. Nice job of evoking emotions Dave.

I could totaly see a black nike check be put on that photo and have it be the size of a billboard... not sure why but it looks like a tennis picture.
Really, beautiful shot. I like the way how the white background brings out the contrast in the shot. Regarding your son: just chill yourself. ;) We Westeners are just so used to everything running according to some kind of schedule that it boggles our mind whenever there is something that defies any schedule. Because if you really think about it you will probably realize that it is the most natural thing of the world that our bodies aren't 100% accurate. It would actually scare me if they were.

Greg: and I can imagine them sending me a huge cheque for a licence to use it, but I suspect it won't happen ;-)
Magnus: lol. I am chilled – a bit – and it's not so much that I expect him to turn up on schedule, it's just that everything now seems to be in abeyance until he does ... if that makes sense.

Your son's probably just being sensible and waiting for cooler weather. :)
I really don't have anything to say about the pic. I mean, I like it (which seems a bit trite) but it's not as if you've left us anything to carp about, so what else can I say?
comment byMaran at 01:05 AM (GMT) on 18 August, 2005
Did you stofen on your flash?
comment by Andrew at 02:07 AM (GMT) on 18 August, 2005
Better late than never. Anyway, thanks so much for that tip yesterday about softening skin tones. I've been playing around with that all day. Granted, interesting tactics still can't save some of the horrible pictures I've taken.

I like how it is so white...and how soft her skin is! The light looks diffused too. And about your son, they sometimes say a week early or a week late.
comment bychristine at 03:29 AM (GMT) on 18 August, 2005
I like the contrast between the background and her skin. I sort of favor the previous one of this person you posted...perhaps because I could sense a bit of movement.
Good luck when the new little guy arrives! :)

I especially love the way the whites of her eyes match her clothes and the backgrounds. They really anchor the whole shot.
I also wanted to add my thanks for yesterday's tip. I've already started using it!

i simply adore this shot.
Dun worry, your son will be out soon. =)

She's gorgeous, but I think I prefer the previous one, the movement makes it more dynamic.

Great shot Dave. A couple of things:
1. Dont worry about the arrival of the baby, im sure things will be fine and she / he will arrive when and how God decides!
2. On a less important note, how did you manage to create such smooth skin in the photo?
3. Great use of the three colours, i love what you have done with her eyes. Excellent.
Thanks mate, you are an inspiration.

Well, it looks like there might be a boy i the Nightingale family, given that there's no new post for the 18th! Congratulations! Now back to work posting pictures for your fans (it's better than changing diapers!)

This is great. Really neat shot. Getting the white of her top to differentiate from the white background really shows your skills at determining proper exposure. You may have already explained this, but is it a photoshoot or were you snapping flash pics while they were performing a number on stage?
comment bydjn1 at 09:23 PM (GMT) on 18 August, 2005
Thanks everyone.
Maran: yes, I used a Stofen.
/\/\J and Mike: she was on stage.
Ben: take a look at my description for a shot I put up a couple of days ago.
jeff: nope, not yet :-/

Your work is first class. I visited your site often and try to see every one of them. Thanks!
Today's shot is another shot of this woman and a follow up to this one, and I have one more to put up tomorrow.
Oh, and in case anyone's wondering – no, our son didn't turn up today either, so he's now two days late :-/
