I'm not sure who this is, so if anyone does know please let me know. She attended the Friday night social event of the Europe Photobloggers meetup last weekend, but I didn't catch her name. And if you're interested, Chrys has put up a shot on Flickr of most of the people who attended the meetup.
On another matter: I've decided that the process of adding titles to all my images is becoming too difficult – there are just some for which no title comes to mind, at least not easily, so I'm going to number some shots instead.
And thanks for the discussions over the last couple of days, I thoroughly enjoyed them.

I've had just the same problems with the titles. Everytime I post something I'm having a hard time finding titles, and I'm not sure what to do about it.
But your way of just starting adding numbers might be the solution. I always thought it would look wierd if I did that, since I had titles before, but maybe it isn't. What do you think I should do? You wouldn't feel copied if I started doing the same?
Btw, great photo. Looks great in B&W. Didn't like the background though. A bit disturbing.
comment bydjn1 at 07:14 PM (GMT) on 2 October, 2005
Kevin: pretty? Is she? I hadn't noticed ;-)
Kjetil: no, I don't mind; go ahead. A lot of the time I can come up with a suitable title, but for those shots where I can't I thought the numbering made sense. As for the background - it's just an open sash window.
comment byNinu at 07:34 PM (GMT) on 2 October, 2005

I don't care about the background. The focus is definitely on her eyes, which I must admit are very attractive. Doesn't anyone else feel the romance and teasing mystery that the girl leaves in her deep glance?
comment bynogger at 10:24 PM (GMT) on 2 October, 2005
I'm not too sure about that left eye, to be honest. Looks a bit odd. It's too dark against the brightness of her nose for me (on my monitor). Seems to pop out of the picture a bit. Other than that it's great.
comment byLeo at 10:49 PM (GMT) on 2 October, 2005
The hair covering her eye is great. I like the softness of the skin tones. Good contrast between background and subject. I just wish you could see more of her other eye. It kinda creeps me out seeing just a part of her eye staring at me behind her nose.

Nice portrait - very cute model :) That wisp of hair over her eye and that impish smile does it for me!
But is that really you in that group photo? Full beard and a funny hat? Come to think of it I don't think I've ever seen a self portrait from you that wasn't a vague reflection. Here's a request - a self portrait of the man himself? If you think about self portraits in the way I do then the answer will be a flat no, but it'd certainly be interesting to see the man behind the lens.

Dave I think you should may be think about a forum here at Chromasia? I think it's a shame that the disscussions over the past two days will get lost under hundreds of other posts. New visitors to the site would have to search some 600 + images to find these posts but with a forum they only have to look in one place.
I know the worries people have with forums and the administration etc. but I've only see decent people visiting this site and taking the time to post. Being new to photography I really would like peoples opinions on equipment, techniqes, great prices, etc. I think there is many an opportunity here and more which could all be housed under one forum.
Thanks

Is Sally the most popular name to write songs about?

Thanks everyone.
joe_ob: yes, her left eye was lightened a little, but only because it looked more oddly lit in the original.
fredrik: thanks.
Geoff: yep, that's me, but it's a goatie beard. The hat is because I have so little hair and hate getting the top of my head burnt when it's sunny. As for the portrait: ok, I'll think about it – I haven't done one for a while.
YETi: I'm going to be changing servers over the next couple of days. Once that's done I'll have a rethink about having a forum. In the meanwhile, there is a search box on my archive page.
John Duncan: chromasia, in our house at least, is pronounced crow-may-zeea ('ee' as in feet, 'a' as in bat) with the emphasis on the second syllable. So it looks like you win ;-) And, re your second comment - good titles :-)
ghost: pardon? Were you there?

Another quality shot, love it. Can I ask you something? I've just ordered myself a 20D (coming tomorrow - woo hoo!) and would like to know...for your B&W shots, such as this one, do you use the in camera settings for B&W and the coloured filters or carry out the conversion later on in CS (or whatever software you use, I seem to remember seeing you use CS though)?
Thanks
