If I were to print this one I'd probably rotate it 90 degrees clockwise, but I thought it would probably be better to present it in this format here. And as you'll notice from the EXIF data, it's another shot from a while ago – I still haven't had much time to shoot any more material. Add to which i) I'm still not ready to port chromasia to the new server, and ii) we still have no ADSL at home (it's beginning to look like a hardware fault at the telephone exchange) ... I'm not the happiest I've ever been, lets put it that way.
On the plus side: this is another shot that I'd put aside as I wasn't sure how to process it, but having revisited it I'm quite pleased with the result.
On another matter: I'm going away for a few days – from Saturday to next Wednesday – but am going to try to post to chromasia while I'm away. I'm taking a laptop with me, and think I'll have internet access, but am not sure quite how it's going to work out. So, if nothing goes up over the weekend, it's a fair bet that I couldn't get it sorted out. Anyway, even if it doesn't pan out I should come back with at least one or two interesting shots as it's a place I've not visited before.

gettin' dizzy...incredibly sharp reflections, if i'm looking right.

Liking this shot, especially when an image confuses for some reason I like more so. The only negative thing would be that it would have been nice to see the sky in sharp details IMO. I'm assuming you have processed them out for a DOF feel...

I love these reflection shots of yours - they're so .. you! This one is so incredibly sharp - and it works lovely in b&w :)

Superb shot. It's got me tilting my head all over the place :)

Now here's something very different and that works pretty well. Excellent details.
This photo was not taken so while ago, as you say. This week I posted a photo from last year. : )
Hope you can resolve your internet problems real fast and that the port of Chromasia to the new server happens in a smooth way. Meanwhile, even if you can't post from where you're going, I'm sure that you will present us viewers with lots of fantastic photos.

The angle is disorienting at first, but it is still interesting. I wish that the image was shifted a bit more to the left so we could see more of the bldg on the right, the stuff on the left side is not of any interest and I dont think adds much to the overall image.

I am always impressed with your reflection shots. I can't seem to get mine right. Maybe I'll have to go out and try some more.

Nice, I always have fun coming up with reflection shots. They seem to awake your creativity, and this one, is much nicer being a B&W.
And by the way, enjoy your travel. It is always an experience when you go away and discover new subjects, we'll be following.

Impact would be better were it rotated (personally speaking). I like the sharpness but the angle is annoying. Shame because it is pinsharp and (from what I can gather) has great tones.
I find your work akin to that of the sun dodging through ragged clouds. Sometimes it gets stuck behind them for a few days. Perhaps right now your work is experiencing a rare, "eclipse". Still, all part of the rich tapestry that is life... and chromasia.

an interesting rotation, definitely. I'm assuming I'm looking at reflections in puddles of water?
A very powerful intriguing shot...I felt disoriented looking at it...you really amaze me wih thh kind of sharpness you get with your shots...

You've every right to be pleased. It's not a typical Trafalgar Sq shot and is all the better for that. Was the timing intentional (today being the 200 year anniversary of the Battle of Trafalgar)?
comment byFotosia at 12:49 PM (GMT) on 21 October, 2005

comment byLeo at 03:35 PM (GMT) on 21 October, 2005
Whoa, trippy. It's off of a reflection right? Or are you shooting through a hole in a roof?
Wow, that's a real surrealist photgraph for sure!
The sharpness and especially that in the upper right is a really nice contrast to the blurred asphalt. 4.9 / 5 (-.1 for the leaves in the upper left :P)
