Would you benefit from targeted, individual support to help you develop your photography skills?

Would you like your specific questions answered in depth?

Would you like the full attention of your instructor instead of being part of a group?

Would you like to have training when you want it, from the comfort of your own home or office?

If so, read on …

Since 2007 we have been running one-to-one training days covering all areas of photography, and now we are making this service available online.

This benefits you because you will have no wasted time traveling, no travel costs, and no accommodation costs, yet you still gain all of the benefits of a 1-2-1 day with an acclaimed and experienced instructor.

"I spent a couple of days working with David to help me master luminosity masking with long exposure landscape images. By the end of the session, I felt much more comfortable using luminosity masks to make complex selections. But what I found to be even more valuable was the conversations we had in-between shooting and postprocessing. David's critiques helped me find my landscape photography 'voice', which is something I've spent years hunting for."

“My portfolio review with Libby was excellent and I got so much from it. As a student of photography I was unsure which direction to go in and what to include within my portfolio. Libby gave me some excellent tips and advice so that I could move forward with my work with a more defined direction."

“I can't recommend Chromasia’s training highly enough. Spending a few hours with Dave in a group class is a truly amazing learning experience. His online tutorials are the most comprehensive, easy to comprehend source of usable information available, and the amount of knowledge, tips and tricks you can pick up about shooting, composing and processing from hanging out with the guy on a 1-2-1 session is absolutely invaluable. A far better investment than any amount of gear to improve your photography.”

How Does it Work?

David has been teaching online for many years (from 1998 he taught an MSc by distance learning before moving to Chromasia), so he is probably one of the most experienced online teachers you will find. Libby has run photography workshops and courses, worked as college lecturer in Photography, and is an Associate of The Royal Photographic Society.

Following your initial enquiry or booking, they will work with you to develop a custom training package that will address your specific needs, enabling you to gain the skills and confidence you need in order to realise your technical and creative vision. This could include spending the day working on your post-production skills, critiquing your images, or thinking about your artistic intent. At the end of your day you will have developed the skills you need to take your photography to the next level.

Who is This For?

Our one-to-one training days are ideally suited to anyone wishing to explore, develop or refine a specific skill or technique over an intensive day or two-day period. Not sure what you’d like to cover? Or not sure how you might benefit? Get in touch to talk it through.

Our one-to-one training days can be purchased for yourself, or as a gift for the photographer in your life.

You Will Get …

  • A day of professional, supportive and interactive training.
  • The opportunity to develop and refine your technical, creative and aesthetic skills.
  • Hands on experience. We use screen sharing software to demonstrate a wide range of tools and techniquess, but we can also switch to your screen. This enables David to guide you as you begin to practice your new found skills.
  • The opportunity to have your work critiqued within a friendly and constructive environment.
  • An HD recording of your training day (screen capture and audio).
  • Edited versions of your images (shared via Dropbox).
  • 25% off any additional or subsequent training days.

A typical online training day lasts between seven and eight hours, with 30 minutes for lunch and two 15 minute comfort breaks. As David is based in the UK sessions are usually scheduled between 8am and 11pm GMT.
