Heading South, Reimagined
9th August 2019
by David J. Nightingale
This was shot at The Lizard, the UK’s most southerly point. Libby and I were down in Falmouth for her MA graduation and as we had a spare afternoon we decided to drive down and take a look. We weren’t there long, and I didn’t take many shots, but I am pleased with this one.
I won’t pretend I had a clear idea about how to process it as I took the shot, beyond knowing that I wanted to bring out a lot more detail in the sky, and it’s ended up looking a lot more dramatic than the actual scene …
Libby: “I thought we were there in the daytime?”
… but I like it 🙂
