Porto #1 (Dom Luís I Bridge)
11th September 2017
by David J. Nightingale
I’m currently in Porto (Portugal) for the Porto Photo Fest, running a street photography workshop and my Creating Dramatic Images masterclass. In preparation for the former I took a wander around Porto yesterday evening with Anna Gunn (the festival director) and spent quite some time shooting the Dom Luís I bridge. When it was opened in 1886 its 172 metres (564 ft) span was the longest of its type in the world. It’s an impressive structure.

I'm not entirely sure I can tell you why I like this shot as much as I do, but it's one of my favourites from our recent trip to Venice.
