Happy Halloween, 2017
Never let it be said that the Nightingale family don’t take Halloween seriously 🙂

Stanley Park (infrared)
Shot today on my infrared converted X-E2. I then swapped the channels in Photoshop (hence the blue sky), brightened the shadows, and added some contrast.
Porto #1 (Dom Luís I Bridge)
The first of my images from Porto, shot while Anna Gunn and I wandered around the city to prep for my Shoot The Street workshop for the #portophotofest later this week.

Another shot of the Buzludzha monument, one of the most striking buildings in Bulgaria (This entry also includes a bit of background history on the monument, including a short film detailing its construction).
Buzludzha, 2017
A shot of the Buzludzha monument, one of the most striking buildings in Bulgaria. Built to commemorate the formation of the Bulgarian socialist movement, it’s now abandoned, neglected, and for the most part ignored.
Shipka #2, 2017
A shot of the (not quite so) eternal flame at Shipka Monument, originally lit to commemorate the 1877 battle for the Shipka pass: fought between the Russians and Bulgarians and the Ottoman Empire.
Shipka, 2017
It’s been a while since I posted anything new on the photoblog so I thought I’d add this one: shot last week when we visited the Shipka Monument.
St. Annes Pier
The end of the old pier at St. Annes.
